Overview
Health Science II includes an extended lab experience at a clinical site designed to provide students the opportunity to earn CNA certification, assume the role of nurse assistant, and practice technical skills previously learned in the classroom. It prepares students with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes essential for providing basic care in extended care facilities, hospitals, and home health agencies under the direction of licensed nurses. This program also prepares students for admission into a postsecondary program. The Pharmacy Technician certification is completed outside of class time.
