Overview
The Cosmetology program allows students to complete the 1500 hours and 1010 treatments required for licensing in Indiana. If you are passionate about beauty and the latest trends and you enjoy hands-on work, helping others and being creative, then you should consider this program. Completing the WCC program can save students over $15,000 compared to the costs of private beauty schools.

A Typical Student
The typical student is one that enjoys creative activities and hands-on learning. Successful students have excellent high school attendance. Most students qualify for Vincennes University dual credits by passing the college placement tests. Successful students have the patience and attention to detail to solve problems using the skills they have learned. They can work independently or with other students. They understand time management as it relates to salon operations and accruing the hours needed for licensure. Successful students are able to stay on task without constant supervision.
Get Yourself Ready
To be prepared, be on track for graduation, develop a good work ethic, and have room in your course schedule to attend the Cosmetology program for two years. Also be prepared to attend the two required summer sessions. Excellent high school attendance is expected throughout the two-year program.
