WCC Automotive Technology Program Earns NATEF Recertification

Congratulations to Mr. Brad Bever on NATEF recertification of the Automotive Technology program. The five-year certification recognizes the high standards maintained by Mr. Bever and his students. NATEF’s (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) mission is to enhance the quality of technician training programs through evaluation and certification against standards developed by the automotive industry. High school and college programs participate in NATEF certification. The process also includes annual ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) testing. Second-year students participate in testing to certify their individual knowledge and skills as repair technicians. ASE certification is recognized by employers and important for technicians to maintain throughout their careers.

Thanks to Mrs. Sarah Lakes, Automotive Educational Assistant, for her assistance in the recertification process. Her organization and research skills were important for the successful evaluation and certification.
