Overview

Students in Automotive Technology I learn to maintain and repair all types of vehicles. Students learn to maintain and repair all types of vehicles. Students learn about basic automotive service, braking systems, electrical systems, automatic transmission and transaxles, and manual drivetrains and axles. Mathematical skills are reinforced through precision measuring activities and cost estimation/calculation activities. Written and oral skills are also emphasized to help students communicate with customers, students, and teachers. This program is NATEF (National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation) certified at the vehicle maintenance & light repair level.
